About us

Hey! I'm Charles — full-time student and the sole dev behind STUDO. This app was born out of pure frustration with existing study tools: too many useless features, too many paywalls, and too little focus on what actually works.

I wanted something clean, fast, and distraction-free — so I built it myself. What started as a side project has grown into something I'm incredibly proud of, and I'm happy to share it with students everywhere.

STUDO is exactly what you need to study smarter: no hidden costs, no unnecessary extras — just powerful, intuitive tools that make a real impact. Every feature solves a real problem. Period.

The story behind STUDO

It all started during exam period. I was juggling multiple subjects, trying out all kinds of study apps, and getting more and more frustrated. Some apps were packed with features I never used. Others locked basics behind expensive subscriptions. And most felt like they were built by people who hadn't been students in years.

So I opened my laptop and started coding. The first version was basic — just flashcards and a simple quiz. But it worked. And more importantly: it worked the way I needed it to. From there STUDO grew, shaped by my own study needs and feedback from friends who started using it too.

What makes STUDO different

There are plenty of study apps. Here's what makes STUDO unique:

  • Studosets — our own twist on flashcards with multiple built-in study modes
  • Visualsets — learning with images via pins and point functions
  • 100% free core features — because learning shouldn't have a paywall

We listen

Because we're still small, your feedback has a direct impact on the future of the app. Idea, feature request, or complaint? I'd love to hear it. Every suggestion is read and many of them make it into the app.

STUDO grows with its users — every suggestion makes it better for everyone. This isn't just a product; it's a community of students helping each other study smarter.

Where we're headed

Right now STUDO is a small, indie project. But the goal is big: to become the study app for students everywhere — without compromising on simplicity or accessibility.

With your support we can grow while holding on to our core mission: making studying smarter, fairer, and less stressful. We don't want to be everything for everyone. We just want to be the best at helping people learn.

Exciting news — iOS app incoming

We're currently working on the first official STUDO iOS app! All core features are coming to your iPhone and iPad, with the same focus on speed, simplicity, and distraction-free studying.

Study on the bus, in the library, or right before an exam — wherever you are, STUDO is there. Stay tuned for the release — it's coming sooner than you think.

Our values

Everything we build is driven by these principles:

  • Student-first design every feature is built with real student needs in mind, not metrics
  • No paywalls for essentials learning should be accessible to everyone, regardless of budget
  • Feedback-driven development your input directly determines what we build next
  • Focus over features five things done brilliantly beats fifty done mediocrely
  • Privacy matters your data is yours — we don't sell it and don't use it for ads

The team

Right now STUDO is a one-person show. I handle design, development, testing, and support — all while being a full-time student myself. It's a lot, but it means I truly understand what students need.

If STUDO grows, the team might grow with it. But for now, when you reach out you're talking directly to the person who built the app. I'm pretty proud of that.

Thanks

To everyone who uses STUDO, shares it with friends, or sends feedback — thank you. You're the reason this project exists. Every time someone says STUDO helped them pass an exam or made studying less stressful, I remember why I started this.
